2. Service Description
Manako Plumbing & Heating provides emergency plumbing, heating, and boiler services in Slough and Berkshire. Services include:
- Emergency plumbing repairs and callouts
- Boiler installation, servicing, and repair
- General plumbing and heating maintenance
- Central heating system installations
- Bathroom and kitchen plumbing works
3. Quote and Service Request
When you request a quote through our online form or contact us, you provide accurate and complete information. Quotes are estimates based on the information provided. Final costs may vary depending on the actual work required and any additional issues discovered during service provision.
Acceptance of a quote constitutes an agreement to proceed with service under these terms.
4. Pricing and Payment
- All prices quoted are in GBP and include VAT unless otherwise stated
- Emergency callout fees apply outside standard hours
- Additional charges apply for materials, parts, and unforeseen complications
- Payment is due upon completion of work unless alternative arrangements are agreed
- We accept cash, bank transfer, and card payments
- Late payment may incur interest charges at 5% per annum above the Bank of England base rate
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling
- By Customer: You may cancel a scheduled appointment with 24 hours' notice without charge. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a £50 cancellation fee
- By Manako: If we cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered alternative dates or a full refund
- No-Show: If you are not present at the scheduled appointment time, a £75 no-show fee will be charged
6. Warranty and Guarantee
- All work undertaken carries a 12-month warranty from the date of completion
- Parts and materials are guaranteed for their manufacturer's stated period
- Warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials, excluding damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance
- Warranty claims must be reported within 30 days of discovering the defect
- Gas Safe and FGAS certified work includes full certification and compliance documentation
7. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide safe and reasonable access to the property
- Ensure the property is accessible during agreed service times
- Provide accurate information about the property and issue
- Ensure utilities (water, gas, electricity) are safely isolated where necessary
- Not interfere with our technicians during service provision
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Manako Plumbing & Heating shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity
- Damage to property not directly caused by our negligence
- Emergency situations beyond our control (force majeure)
Our liability is limited to the total cost of work performed in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Compliance and Safety
- All work complies with UK Building Regulations and Gas Safety Regulations
- All engineers are Gas Safe registered and fully insured
- We obtain all necessary certifications and provide copies upon request
- Work is performed safely with minimum disruption to your property
